How to remember different types of blood cells

There are a few different mnemonics used to help remember the types of blood cells and their functions.

One example is:

“My Very Eager Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas”

M – Monocytes (large white blood cells that help to fight infections)
V – Eosinophils (white blood cells involved in allergic reactions)
E – Erythrocytes (red blood cells that carry oxygen)
M – Monocytes (large white blood cells that help to fight infections)
J – Lymphocytes (white blood cells that help to fight off viruses and bacteria)
S – Segmented Neutrophils (white blood cells that help to fight off bacterial infections)
U – Unsegmented Neutrophils (white blood cells that help to fight off bacterial infections)
N – Neutrophils (white blood cells that help to fight off bacterial infections)
P – Platelets (tiny cell fragments involved in blood clotting)
